This EP is a collection of recordings I made over the past few years using my cellphone. All of the music and background noise is incidental and unplanned, there were no multiple takes, editing, revisiting; everything you hear was simply captured in the moment, which was often a simple image of me sitting at home, alone, playing guitar, while the TV played in the background, usually a baseball game.

I never had any plans to release or compile any of the music at the time of their recording. After amassing so much material, though, it seemed clear that the best avenue was to not re-do or alter the music, to leave it as it was, mistakes and all. It then seemed natural to arrange a select few in such a way that it felt like a glimpse into the mundane and often subconscious process of creating music, and sublime presence that accompanies the art of play.
